Using Engage

Learn how to create and manage Engage projects in ChangeLab Creator. This guide covers the CMS workflow from project creation to publishing.


Creating a project

  1. From the dashboard, click New Project
  2. Select Engage as the platform
  3. Enter a project name
  4. Click Create

You will be taken to the Engage project editor.


The level editor

Engage uses a level-based editor similar to Activate, with support for branching paths.

Editor overview

  • Levels list — Shows all levels in your project
  • Assets panel — Library of available screens and games
  • Preview panel — Shows the selected item as it will appear
  • Sidebar — Configuration options for the selected item

Navigating the editor

  • Select level — Click a level to view/edit it
  • Select asset — Click an asset to configure it
  • Reorder — Drag to change order

Adding content

Adding levels

  1. Click Add Level in the toolbar
  2. A new empty level is created
  3. Give it a descriptive name

Adding screens and games

  1. Select a level from the list
  2. Click Add or drag from the assets panel
  3. Choose Screens or Games
  4. Select the specific asset

Reordering content

  • Reorder levels — Drag levels up/down
  • Reorder assets — Drag assets within a level
  • Delete — Select and press Delete

Customising appearance

Per-asset customisation

Select any screen or game to customise:

  1. Click the item to select it
  2. Use the sidebar tabs to adjust settings
  3. See changes in the preview panel

Project settings

Access settings from the project menu to configure:

  • Theme colours
  • Branding and logos
  • Default styling

Publishing

Preview

Click Preview to test your project before publishing.

Deploy

  1. Connect GitHub (see Quickstart)
  2. Click Publish
  3. Configure deployment settings
  4. Click Deploy

Export as SCORM

  1. Click Export
  2. Select SCORM Package
  3. Download and upload to your LMS
